Today is my 10th wedding anniversary.
I'm sitting on the couch in a villa at the Sawgrass resort in Jacksonville, FL and I have found the silence. No trains or traffic. No children yelling or garbage trucks. No phone calls. No texts. Just quiet. It's absolute serenity. The only sounds I hear are the whirring of the A/C and the gentle rumble of my loves sleeping.
Ten years is a long time. I will not sit here and tell you that it has been any form of bliss. Marriage is hard work...constant and some days never ending. But there are moments of complete and utter joy that carry you through. Today however, I'm standing on the precipice of another decade. Its overwhelming to think of what has transpired behind me and what is to come in front of me. I've learned so much that I'm convinced I'll traverse this decade with a little more ease.
Michael has learned a lot too. We are definitely not the same people we were February 1st 2003. Hopefully, we're better.

Glad you had a nice time and a quiet chance to reflect.
