Nearly...

Baby girl is nearly 1lb and she's nearly 1 foot long. I am excited about her new measurements. She's quite active these days especially when I wear those maternity pants that go under the belly. Apparently she's sitting way too low for those to be of any comfort anymore. I need to get some more of those full tummy panel jeans and shorts. Baby does not like the others - they squish her and she goes nuts..lol. I picture her inside going, "Get off of me!!!." At my Dr's appointment last week, Dr. Williams said I was doing great. I'll assume that means she's doing great as well. Still open to girl name suggestions if anyone has a stunning contribution. :)

My beautiful baby

It has been so exciting and real these past few days since finding out that our baby is a little girl. Maybe it's the fact that I can picture her little face. Or maybe it's the fact that I can feel her more and more each day. With every thump I'm reminded of how exciting and different my life is about to become. I held a friend's month-old baby today for about and hour and a half. Holding her in my arms made me well up inside with emotions of how I long to hold my own child....to kiss her on the top of her head...to hold her against my chest as she nuzzles in to take a nap. I know I will be tired as a new mother, but I can't imagine wanting to put her down.

Pics of us

Here are some photos mom took of Michael, me and my belly. Here I look pregnant...but the lady at the restaurant tonight said I didn't look like I was showing at all. I guess it's all in the clothing. But I thought to myself..."so I always look this fat? GREAT!".

Big Surprise

Surprise, Surprise!! We found out that our baby is......a girl!! We were very sure that is was a boy, so it was a huge shock to be told that we were having a girl. But she looks amazing. She was moving all over the place and measures at 13 oz. She is the length of a banana. Here are the sonograms from today. My favorite is the profile pic of her cute little nose. So now we're off to ponder girl names...of which we we're totally unprepared for. LOL

We're Halfway There

I am 20 weeks along today. For those of you counting...that's halfway there. I think the baby knew it too because today I was sure I felt the baby moving. I bent over at the office to pick something up off of the floor. I'm guessing I squished it too much and it started doing what I could only picture to be....a barrell roll. Seemed like it just kept turning and turning for over 5 minutes straight. I like feeling he baby move because it lets me know that it's still there and all right. And BTW, we are the length of a banana this week. Here's the rendering of what we should look like by now.

Old Woman

I turned 32 on Wednesday. I'm getting old!!!!
You know, when I named this blog "my roller coaster ride". I really had no idea how prophetic that would be. I'll have one good day...6 icky days, one day of energy, 4 days of headaches. I can barely keep up myself. My poor hubby.

I had a person respond to my last blog. They said they saw my labido and energy walking around down on the 500 block of Broad....making me some money.
WELL I HOPE SO....I NEED SOME MONEY!!! LOL

Let me put out a feeler here. I have crappy health insurance. Does anyone know a good company that insures babies..after they're born of course. I'm thinking of getting JR. or JRess, their own policy. Just thought I'd ask.

Ouch

I hurt a lot these days. For two weeks now. I am guessing all my scar tissue is making the growing part for difficult. It's not fun at all. I know that every minute of every day, I am pregnant. I want to be productive...I have so much to do, yet all I am able to do is work a little and lay down. I am not having that spurt of 2nd trimester energy..or the increased labido. I'd like to know where that went. If anyone sees my energy and labido walking around hand-in-hand...at the park, maybe at the mall...please, let me know, I'd like to get them back!
