Day at the Canal
We took our neice and nephew to the Canal for some unique swimming fun. They had a blast. I always feel like I'm in the NC mountains when I'm there. We took some really good pictures...except for the one of me. Can we say "Moo?" Check out these pics of our day.
Michael:0, Broken Toilet:1
My baby got a booboo. He decided to bust up an old toilet...and the toilet won. Got him in the leg really good. We had to get him stitched up..7 stitches in all. He was a great patient however. :) I, on the other hand, really need to learn to cope with gushing blood and sudden emergencies. I was a little slow on the draw for this one. I'm sure having a child will teach me to react faster.

The Banisters Are HERE!!
The long awaited banisters have finally been installed (Thanks Dad!) It's taken 3 years to get the origianl 100 year old banisters stripped, repaired and installed, but they look great. It may take us another 3 years to poly them, but at least I'll be a more stable pregnant lady with plenty of places to hold on to while I go up and down stairs.

Whaaaaa!
30 weeks along now. It's been pretty quiet on this blogger's board. Is everyone still out there? I love to read comments, so don't be shy. I think I'll take another sideways belly shot this weekend so that my "progress" can be seen. I have a friend who's one week behind me and she put it well to me the other day. It's hard to enjoy this journey at times. Between the pain and discomfort of being stretched to kingdom come and the stress of having so much to accomplish a certain period of time...and for me, how exhausted I am from lack of sleep and arthritis, it does make it difficult. I have a whole new respect for any woman who's carried or carrying twins. I can't imagine...I just can't imagine.

Rounding the corner to week 30
In two more days, we'll be at the 30th week. Saw my lovely Dr. Williams today and he basically told me that all my aches and pains were par for the course (I kinda knew that). It helps me feel better, strangely, if everyone around me knows that I'm feeling poopy. I like to share my pain, especially with Michael because I want him to experience every bit of pregnancy with me. I tell him this all the time..and yeah, he still doesn't buy it...lol. I am quite the whiney baby these days.
But on a great note, we had a sonogram today. Addison is a whopping 3 lbs, 8 oz. according to the tech. She was sleeping while we took her pictures....almost in a pensive, thinking, hand under her chin pose. We could count five toes and even see her perfect little lips. She was moving them at one point, probably singing to herself like her mom does. She's got a lot less room in there now than she had 2 months ago. It really amused me to see in live action, her kicking the crap out of my belly button! She's absolutely lightening fast when she does it. POW! and she's done. I don't know if anyone else in the room caught that moment, but because I was looking and could feel it at the same time, I was intrigued. Here are some of her newest and probably her last photos before we meet her in person in 2 months.

Engagement!!!
My sister just got engaged to Chad this past weekend. They've been dating two years. We are all very excited for them and for the fact that our family is growing even larger. Here's a pic of her beautiful ring!
Week 29
Week 29 has proven to be a very rough week for me. From the arthritis that has enveloped my body to the migraine headaches, I've been pretty much useless. In much pain tonight as well. I think my belly is at the splitting open stage...where you can't see how it will stretch any more. And yet I know, it will. I'm sure I'll be saying "hello" to stretch marks pretty soon. Tuesday is another Dr. visit and another sonogram so stay tuned for more pics of the princess..lol. Friends Ryan and Mary had their new baby girl on Monday. What a beautiful thing. She was gorgeous! As Michael likes to say...she's the prettiest baby I've seen....at least for two more months. Some people don't get that statement. But isn't your baby supposed to be the prettiest you've ever seen?

Hello Third Trimester!
We have arrived at 28 weeks, the start of the coveted third trimester!!!! Big developments here for baby Addison too. She's about 2 1/4 lbs and 14.5 inches long, but the biggest thing is...her eyes are now open. She's starting to see light and dark. I think I'll give her another week or two before I get out the flashlight and play peekaboo games through my belly. I've heard that the baby will move toward or away from the light if you hold it on your belly. I'm dying to try it out.
I'm moving toward the the thought that Addison will be on Broadway...doing tap dancing. What other professions can you use your feet so much on. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she's walking at 6 months! Those little feet never seem to stop.
I have also developed my very first outie belly button...LOL. With so many surgeries my belly button is somewhat mishapen anyways, but it's really funny looking now. I have to laugh when I look in the mirror.

My First Baby Shower
I had my very first baby shower this past Saturday. It was a really great time...for me at least. I received so many precious little outfits and stuffed animals and cutesy baby things. I still cannot believe that I'm going to have a little person that fits into those teeny tiny clothes. Now I just need to get that nursery finished so I have somewhere to put it all. BTW, we're at 27 weeks now for those of you who are counting. Can you believe I still have people saying that I don't look pregnant. Gee whiz people!!! I'm nearly 7 months....I gotta look pregnant! Here are some pics If you'd like to see.
