She's here, she's here!

God has really blessed us with a beautiful baby girl... even moreso than I could have ever imagined. With each time I get to hold her, look into those dark little eyes - the ordeal of actually getting her here seems less and less significant. She's amazing to me - every move, every sound. And her father...well he's in love. Smitten to the fullest, I've never seen Michael so enthralled with another human. We are proud proud parents.
New link for pictures is HERE - cross your fingers it works. Be warned...there are 138 photos! ;)

It's crowded in there.

Here's me in my last week of pregnancy. I don't look half as bad in these pics as I thought I did.
Here's baby girl's last sonogram.

What does it all mean?

We came home from church today and the back of our roof was covered in....pigeons. I've mentioned in my blog before about all the neighborhood animals stealing Trenton's food. I think they're back...in droves. It was a funny sight to drive up and see the back roofline covered in birds. Then, we noticed there was another dog in the back yard with Trenton. He was too small and too fast to photograph, but it was a funny sight. I though it was a rabbit at first. So what I want to know is it some sort of omen when you come home to a roof covered in pigeons? Why my house? I know...it must just be the local fare...kibbles and chunks - only the best for my neighborhood critters.

AirShow

Being that this is mine and Michael's week of "lasts,"..i.e. last Friday night without a baby, last Saturday without a baby, etc., I decided to make the most of our weekend with a trip to the Air Show. We could have probably just watched it from the house. This was the view from my back deck.

However, I decided to treat Michael to the show and bought the tickets. We saw planes and helicopters, ate "fair" food, and planted ourselves for a pretty interesting show with planes looping the sky and little skydivers sailing towards the earth. Why anyone would want to jump out of a perfectly good plane is beyond me. But it was entertaining. Michael even got to see some monster trucks at play, crushing cars on the runway. It was a difficult little jaunt, to waddle around the air field 9 months pregnant. At one point the wind was so bad, it took the powdered sugar from my funnel cake and covered me. I looked down to see my baby belly a frosty white. I was really sweet that day. :)

Turns out it was a crisp 65 degrees .Who knew that with that 65 degree cloudy day, would come a really great sunburn. Alas, now I have a redneck tan for the birth of my first child...oh well. This is a pic of Michael who was freezing to death, with the bags from the bag chairs as sleeves while he watched the show. 65 degrees was perfect for me...but I'm working for two here.

One week today

I'm apparently experiencing morning sickness this last week of my preganancy. It could be because my stomach now resides in my throat or the surge of hormones strongly pulsating through my body. I'm lying here this morning trying not to puke like I did yesterday morning. Misery. Not to mention, I spent all of last night trying to dislodge what I think is Addison's foot from my left rib cage. I felt like an oyster being pried open. She's getting to be a big girl, or at least she feels that way. Even my maternity clothes are getting tight. To say we are excited is a huge understatement. Poor Michael....he's stressing these days. Impending fatherhood is a really big deal to him. I myself have a few anxiety attacks every now and then about what is yet to come. No matter, this time next week, she'll be here and we will begin the next phase of life - parenthood! Here's a latest photo of the belly. I'm looking a little worse for wear these days. Lack of sleep. And I'm poofing up. Everything feels swollen, including my NOSE..lol. I'm hoping not to get the swollen ankles - that always looks so painful.

So, 7 days and counting. OMG!

37 weeks

We have reached "full term". Addison can be born and should be just fine from now until the due date. I have new big belly pics to add to my blog, but I can't share them just yet. Trenton, my bulldog, thought that my transfer cable for my camera was a tasty midnight snack and chewed it to pieces. So, I'm awaiting a new one...from Hong Kong. Why can't we make anything in America anymore? In the meantime, I'm still tracking the belly/baby growth and will share when the cable gets here.

We're down to the wire with 12 days to go. Michael told me that next week I was "fired" and that he didn't want me working more than a half day. That is very hard for me to do...to let go of my responsibilities. It's also difficult because I feel like I have a huge list of things to get done before Addison's arrival, both workwise and personally.
